This is an opportunity to create services that will define the Media Web. You will participate in all phases of development for our Web sites and services from architecture to coding. As a member of our web application team, you will work closely with our product, user experience, desktop application, and network operations teams to define, implement and refine features.

You ideally:

• have been involved with web development for many years
• appreciate Rails' opinionated approach to development and favor simple designs
• can fly with semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX
• can sculpt clean database schemas and can peck away at SQL queries when a performance boost is needed
• are active in the Ruby community
• are an advocate of test-driven-development and strive to achieve 100% code coverage with your tests

and you get extra worms if:

• you get Git
• are experienced with dimensional data modeling and statistics
• you have used Bugzilla
• you're a music snob

This position reports to the Vice President of Engineering.

Availability: Full-time.

Location: You are preferably located near San Francisco, California.
