Songbird is looking for a talented Sales Engineer to help Songbird’s partners in Media, Mobile, Devices, Social Networking, and Commerce create new digital media services.
The ideal profile:
This position requires you to provide a broad knowledge of the Songbird platform and an understanding of its customization and integration API’s. You should think on your feet, be willing to travel (inter)nationally, and enjoy working with brand names to architect solutions in digital media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach partners and potential partners about how to extend Songbird’s capabilities using Songbird’s APIs.
- Work with partner to develop and propose technology strategy, then drive customization and integration with partner’s technology.
- Provide assistance and advice as partners implement Songbird customizations.
- Collaborate with Developer Evangelist to develop technical documentation, code sample and FAQ’s.
- Provide feedback to Songbird’s product management and development organizations.
- Domestic and possibly overseas travel when needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science with 3+ years experience developing with XML, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Comfortable talking to Partners’ technical teams and able to simplify technical conversations for business teams.
- Ability to operate independently.
- Experience with web technologies such as XML, HTML, CSS, web services is required.
- Knowledge of C++ and JavaScript required.
- Familiarity with digital media industry a plus.
- Working knowledge of Mozilla platform a big plus.
This position reports to the Vice President of Strategic Development.
Availability: Full-time.
Location: You are preferably located near San Francisco, California.
