Support for Snarl (Growl Clone for Windows)

Hello !

I'm a new User of Songbird and Snarl... and I think these two software could be used lovely together.
I hope you can use this fancy notification system for Windows in Songbird.

http://www.fullphat.net/ for more info about Snarl.

Skwurl Says:

the minimize-to-tray extension already supports growl, so if snarl uses the same command line strings it should support snarl too.

Skwurl.

P.S. I'm testing it for compatibility now.If it doesn't work, I'll take a crack at making them compatible and post back with the results in a few days.

Skwurl Says:

Ok, I've determined that Snarl and the growl commands don't get along. I'm going to try and recompile the code for interacting with growl to work with snarl.

Skwurl.

P.S. This could take awhile, so if you find an alternative let me know.

MozillaSnarls Says:

I know this is an old thread - but I developed some extensions for Firefox, Thunderbird and Sunbird to connect them to Snarl. So if you would like to add Snarl-support to your AddOn I could provide you my XPCOM-DLL which enables you to send messages to Snarl in four lines of JavaScript-Code...
