Getting my feather ready for others.....

Ok i have created a new feather called WhiteShot
and everythings working well, so i came to put my package togeather
putting it to a archive.xpi file
so i did this::::::::

* Select chrome.manifest, install.rdf, and the chrome directory from your project
* Right-click and choose Send To > Compressed (zipped) Folder
* Rename the file from archive.zip to archive.xpi

but for some reason its not working, i send it to the compressed file, change the name by right clicking and entering archive.xpi hitting enter then trying to install it just doesn't work.....
is there any other way of putting out my feather

thanks in advanced

Do you get any error messages from Songbird when you try to install it?

It's hard to know what's wrong without seeing the archive, if you want - send your archive.xpi file to me at:

stevel at songbirdnest dot com

and I'd be happy to take a quick look.

When I compile my feathers I use 7zip, and then when I add them to archive, I just rename the file in that then.

...just thought I would throw out how I do it.

I use 7zip, with "normal Zip" as the settings.

I select the files and zip them directly (instead of into a folder). If I put them in a folder and zip the folder, the extension will not install properly.
