Can I download songs with songbord and keep them without paing anything?

Can somebody tell me if there's any restriction in downloading music with songbird? Do I have to pay the rights or keep them without paying anything? Thanks. Willy

Just like the rest of the Internet, it depends on where you're downloading your music from. Mp3 music sites like the Hype Machine, Jamendo, and labels like Matador and Insound often have a great selection of legally free music to download. You also find that a lot of bands make a few of their songs free to download to encourage you to purchase their other music. We at Songbird encourage you to download responsibly and if you like it, buy it.

I'd start with Jamendo, they've got a large selection and a nice UI.
