This is our first candidate build toward our goal to release Songbird
0.3 as Final later this month. We are asking our dedicated open source
community to help test and use this build over the next week. Come be
part of Songbird history!
PLEASE NOTE: Some Mac stability seen in our 0.2.5 release was lost due to a major XULRunner update in our application.
API/UI UPDATES
The following API and UI updates/changes have been completed since our last blessed build on 09.28.2007:
APIs
- Provide a means to set the site scope outside of siteLibrary() (4610)
- We now nitialize QT libraries at playback, not at app-startup. (4817)
- Added new column methods (4842)
UI
- Finalized a standard for CSS class values (4245)
- Refactored download button CSS to enable skinning (4515)
- Animate the Download icon when there are active downloads. (4521)
- Webplay list column now resize automatically when adding custom columns (4669)
- Download details column now auto show in downloads view (4740)

MAJOR BUG FIXES
The following Major Bugs were fixed for this release:
- Search handles spaces as part of the search term (3457)
- Listeners not removed when navigating away/to library (3977)
- VLC errors in Linux (3981)
- URLbar history autocomplete shows empty, translucent, item (3992)
- Memory leak in sbRemoteSiteMediaList_GetInterfacesHelper (4479)
- Setting a void string does not delete properties (4547)
- Cannot drop tracks into empty playlist tree. (4592)
- Metadata scanner doesn't run for the web playlists generated by the remote api (4772)
- Songbird will not start after install of Quicktime 7.2 (4783)
- Trying to play non-media content results in WMP trying to open the file (4796)
